Privacy Policy
Effective October 8, 2026
- We collect only what we need to run your account and ship your boxes.
- Square handles your card. We never see or store your full card number.
- We don’t sell your personal information.
- You can ask to see or delete your data at any time.
1. Who we are
Sub Oranges is a members-only subscription service for adults 21 and older. This policy explains how Founded by Entrepreneurs LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company (“Sub Oranges,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses and shares information when you use our website and subscription service. If you have questions, contact us through suboranges.com/support.
2. What we collect
Information you give us
- Account: name, email address, password (stored only in scrambled, hashed form) and date of birth, which we use to confirm you are 21 or older.
- Invite code: the code you used to join, if any.
- Shipping: name, street address, city, state, ZIP code and, if you choose, phone number.
- Chat: your username, the messages, photos and videos you send and receive, who you chat with, who invited you and who you invite, people you block, and reports you make or that are made about you.
- Age and identity checks: if we need to verify your age or identity, the details you provide for it, such as your ID, may be collected by us or by a verification provider working for us. Carriers may also check ID and record an adult signature at delivery.
- Purchases: what you buy and when, quantities and order history.
- Subscription: your plan, subscription status, and order and delivery history, including tracking numbers.
- Support: the requests and messages you send through Support, and, if you contact us without an account, your name and email.
Payment information — Your card is entered directly into a secure form provided by our payment processor, Square. Square stores your card details. We receive only a reference to your saved card and limited details such as payment status.
Collected automatically — Basic technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, which our servers log for security and troubleshooting.
Chat, encryption and your messages
- Private 1:1 chats are end-to-end encrypted. Messages, photos and videos are encrypted on your device and can only be decrypted on the devices of the people in the chat. The keys that unlock them never leave those devices. We store only encrypted data we cannot read, plus basic details needed to deliver it (who sent it to whom, and when).
- Reporting. Because we can’t read private chats, when you report a message your device sends that message and the messages around it to our moderators. That is the only way moderators can see the contents of a private chat.
- New devices. Each phone or browser has its own keys. A device you set up later can’t read messages sent before it was set up.
- Channels and support are encrypted in transit and at rest, but not end-to-end, so channel posts can be shown to every member and support requests can be answered by our team.
- Other members see your first name, last initial and username when you chat with them. Channel posts can be seen by any member; your reactions are counted but not shown by name. Channel owners and admins can see who follows their channel.
- Messages, photos and videos you sent are deleted when you delete your account.
3. Cookies and similar technology
We use one essential cookie to keep you signed in. We don’t track you across other companies’ apps or websites. Your browser also remembers that you confirmed you are 21+ so we don’t ask every visit. We don’t use advertising cookies or third-party tracking. Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, and the checkout loads Square’s payment form. Those providers may receive your IP address when they load.
4. How we use your information
- To create and manage your account, including the waiting list and invite codes.
- To confirm you are 21 or older, and that we can lawfully sell and ship to you.
- To meet our legal duties, such as tax, record-keeping and product recalls.
- To process your subscription payments through Square.
- To pack, ship and track your boxes and show their progress in your account.
- To contact you about your account, orders, price changes and updates to our policies.
- To prevent fraud, keep the Service secure and follow the law.
- To improve our products and service.
5. Who we share it with
We share information only as needed to run the Service:
- Square, to process payments and manage your subscription. Square’s use of your information is covered by Square’s Privacy Notice.
- Shipping carriers (for example, USPS, UPS, FedEx or DHL), to deliver your box.
- Address lookup (Google Maps Platform, or OpenStreetMap during testing): when you type a street address, the text you type is sent to suggest matching addresses.
- Email delivery (Resend): your email address and the message, only for account emails such as password resets.
- Service providers who host our website or help us operate, under contracts that limit how they use your data.
- Our team. Employees who pack and ship boxes can see your name and shipping address.
- Age verification providers, only to confirm your age or identity when needed.
- Regulators, only when a law or license requires us to report sales or keep records available for inspection.
- Legal reasons: when required by law, or to protect our rights, our users or the public.
- Business transfers: if our business is sold or merged, your information may transfer as part of that deal.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising.
6. How long we keep it
We keep your information while your account is open. Some records, such as sales and age verification records, may have to be kept for the period the law requires, even after you close your account. After you close your account, we delete or anonymize it within a reasonable time. We keep order and payment records as long as tax, accounting and other laws require (usually up to 7 years).
7. Your choices and rights
- You can update your shipping address at any time from your account.
- You can ask us for a copy of your information, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account.
- You can opt out of marketing emails at any time. We will still send emails about your account and orders.
Depending on where you live (for example, California and several other states), you may have extra rights under state privacy law, including the right to know, access, correct and delete your personal information and the right not to be treated differently for using these rights. To make a request, send a request through Support (Profile → Help & support in the app, or suboranges.com/support) and choose “Privacy request”. We will verify your identity before acting on a request, and we will answer within the time the law requires.
8. Security
We protect your information with encrypted connections (HTTPS), end-to-end encryption for private chats, encryption at rest for personal details (such as your address, birth date and phone number), channel posts, support requests and all uploaded files, hashed passwords, and limited staff access. Encryption keys are kept separate from the data they protect. No system is perfectly secure. Use a strong, unique password and tell us if you think your account was accessed without your permission.
9. Adults 21+ only
The Service is only for adults 21 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 21. If we learn that we have, we will delete it and close the account. If you think a minor has created an account, contact us through Support (suboranges.com/support).
10. United States only
We operate in the United States, and your information is stored and processed there.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. If the changes are significant, we will tell you by email or on the website before they take effect. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
